Recruitment for an US Manufacturing Enterprise

Project Background
The client is one of the world's largest tool, hardware and door product manufacturers with global sales of more than 10 billion dollars in 2010. Its factories in China manufacture pneumatic tools, hand tools, hydraulic tools and toolbox cabinets.
The client required a procurement engineer to be responsible for the development and assessment of the cabinet material suppliers. The candidate needed to be familiar with cabinet material suppliers as well as supplier development review processes, possess excellent communication skills and be fluent in English.

After receiving the recruitment request, the Uniland project team quickly started the recruitment process and recommended three candidates. Candidate “A” had five years of procurement experience, was familiar with sheet metal and other raw materials suppliers; “B “ came from a top 500 company purchasing background; “C” had 12 years of work experience with 7 years experience in procurement of sheet metal and other materials. After several rounds of interviews from the client’s HR, Production manager and U.S. headquarters candidate C was offered the position.
